[pct-l] how's the air?

Sorry, Michael S, I can't resist - How's the  air on that morning commute, 
and at your desk? I know the smog drifts out  of the 150 x 75 mile triangle of 
people called LA, and across the PCT, from  San Diego to the High Sierra 
possibly or certainly to the Mojave.  Trees are dying by the thousands; 2015 thru 
hikers may have 2/3 the trees  there are now. 
    Now don't anyone think I'm attacking Michael  maliciously, okay? Hell we'v
e got study proven pollution, haze, here in Big  Bend; it comes from Mexican 
power plants 250 miles away at Ciudad Acuna  (across from Del Rio), Texas 
power plants 750 miles away in NE Texas,  and from western US dust at certain 
times of the year.
