[pct-l] Bearcans in winter

I know, we routinely beat this one to death, but I
need to rehash it, hopefully with a spin.  It's
winter, and I'm going snowshoeing (probably along
closed Tioga Road) in Yosemite for a week.  Don't
bears (and most rangers) hybernate, thus obviating the
need for a canister (if there ever was one)?

Yes, you can probably leave it behind.  Most gov workers are curled up around their pc this time of year.. Sounds like a fun trip....Check the Yo website just in case...
