[pct-l] A What if question

I couple of alternate ideas, depending on how much snow we
really get are:
1. Why not just delay depature for a couple of weeks (if
the snow is less than 50% above normal), Go to the kick off
and them start a couple of weeks later.
2. South bound trip if the WA area is realy dry this year.
But I would still like to point out, that we (were on
Friday) 62% normal snow for April 1st. April 1st being the
normal high point. If we didn't get any snow for a month,
we would be back on track. The games not over yet...

Oh. I thought the original idea was to do a flop and come
back and catch the
Sierras in the fall. I agree, though, that hiking all those
miles and *not*
seeing the Sierras would be a huge loss.

to Kennedy Meadows and not going in. In many ways they are
the peak experience of the entire PCT. The stretch from KM
to Sierra City is just unbelievable. Trade that for a bus
ride? No way.
