[pct-l] ogo instead of pocketmail?

Looks like the white (no-service) areas follow the PCT pretty much thru CA,
OR, WA. That is what I would expect. Did you notice in the fine print you
have to add the Ogo service to an existing wireless phone service? That
makes the charge for Ogo much higher than using PocketMail. When you dial up
PocketMail you are calling a 800 number - read free phone call from any
phone (pay phone, home phone, cell phone).

Subject: [pct-l] ogo instead of pocketmail?

i'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this gadget:

http://attwireless.com/ogo/index.html

i tried one out in the store, and i really liked the feel of the
buttons, the size, the weight, price, etc.

only thing is, their coverage map does not show fine detail, and from
what i can tell, not much of the pct is covered. does that seem right?

obviously the benefit of the pocketmail is in its ability to connect
using any regular phone... but if the coverage were there, i'd choose
the ogo in a heartbeat...
