[pct-l] Hilleberg Tent/Ice Axe & Crampons.

I have used a Nallo 2. It's a great winter time tent. Warm, hold up
against brutal winds, does a reasonable job shedding snowheld up with
a moderate snowload that it didn't shed. Avail with an extra large
vestibule (which is really nice). If you were doing the PCT
Nov-Mar this would be a good option for a couple to share (or the Akto
for a single trekker), but you seem to be planning a thru-hike at the
normal time. I think you will find the Nalo2 overkill. It would be
too warm in the summer months because ventulation is much more limited
than 3-season tents with lots of mesh, and it is several pounds
heavier than shelter systems which are perfectly adaquate for the
mostly mild weather of the PCT.
