[pct-l] landmarks,or monuments...!

I dont know weather to ask this question or not,,,,! but  are there any kind of markers or monument markers as in servaior markers  along anywhere on the pct,?besides the books and maps and a compass for your personal navigation? I did see some pictures,with a pole marker,and a sign or two along the way,  the "Bull"
