[pct-l] isn't hiking free?!?
Gotcha.
How about hiking the PCT in more than one season, no
"special" gear and taking more time to sustain
yourself on the trail as opposed to "accomplishing"
the hike?
I'm not playing devils advocate here... just wondering
about the whole Money thing. Seems to me that hiking
is far cheaper than living on "the grid". And that
living as if on the grid is what makes hiking
expensive.
With this in mind, is ultra-light hiking perhaps more
costly? Would a heavier pack offer more luxury thus
keep you away from hotels and diners? Does speed come
at a cost?
Thanks for your replies!
