[pct-l] Re: Lunar Solo Tent

Lunar Solo
Mine was just shipped from Portland. I should have it by Friday or Saturday in the Warner Springs area.

At ALDHA West, Ron had me get into the Lunar Solo that he had set up there to see what the height limits are for the new tent. I barely fit and would not be comfortable in it and agree that anyone 6 ft., 3 in. or smaller will be alright. I'm 6'9" for reference.

Cerritos is kind of far from Warner Springs for me to visit. Let me know how you like it once you experiment with it. At 1.5 pounds and a side entry, it is nice.

Ron told me that he is 6' tall and has no problem with his long bag in the Lunar Solo. So, that is nice to know. He said someone 6'3" or over might be a little cramped. Like Big Hummel.

I also had some questions for him on using non adjustable 3 ounce carbon fiber hiking poles (Gossamer Gear) with the tent. I think I might have a solution to this dilemma. It will be interesting to hear what he has to say.
