[pct-l] hands free umbrella?

You can do a couple of things. First, and it is a good time of year for this...
Save the cardboard cylinder of your Christmas wrapping paper. Put it lenghthwise
in your pack surrounded by the rest of your gearto hold it in place. Use it as a holder
for the umbrella. If you do this on one side of the pack the umbrella will stick out OK.
If you put it in the middle, you have to cut a small hole in the top of the pack and then
reinforce it. Better yet, many packs now have a water hydration holder on the inside
of the pack. There is a small hole where the tubing goes thru. You can use this for
the umbrella also as long as you don't need the hydration holder. I'm sure there are
other methods out there also. Hope this helps. E.Y.
