[pct-l] What is plantar fasciitis?

This may help others like myself that are confused about the subject.

What is plantar fasciitis?

Plantar fasciitis is the most common cause of heel pain. It occurs when the
long, flat ligament on the bottom of the foot (plantar fascia) stretches
irregularly and develops small tears that cause the ligament to become
inflamed. Plantar fasciitis is a common problem among middle-aged adults
and some athletes.
