Ray Jardine suggests hiking 450 miles before a thru-hike to get into adequate
shape. That would be like hiking Campo to Agua Dulce. Would anyone
seriously consider starting over?
In the "How to Hike the PCT" video, the hikers featured had their own
thoughts on this subject, but I liked Squirrels best, "why hurt twice when you can
hurt once."
The first step is the hard part.
