Aloha All!
Once again, you guys and gals are the best. Thank you to all for your words of wisdom:
Dee: There are many "votes" for the Versalite. I will definitely be taking a look at that one. Thank you for playing!
EZ_DOES_IT: We do seem to think a bit alike, don't we. Freathered Friends are awesome bags. Costly but awesome. I had originally considered the HummingBird but opted for the heavier, and warmer, Raven. That's probably just my fear of the cold. I also considered, and then observed on the trail, the Feathered Friends 35* Rock/Wren. I envied my trail husband's ability to sit out and read/write/whatever while wearing his sleeping bag! He often slept in many more clothes but thought it was worth the weight and wear. You might want to think about it. I haven't researched the WM HighLite but I certainly will. Thank you.
Mark: Saving 1 - 1.5 pounds is definitely high on my list. Admittedly spending the money for a fourth sleeping bag doesn't tickle me but I'm willing to do basically whatever to make this hike a go. I've added your vote to the Versalite crowd. The Marmot Helium and Nunatak Arc Alpinish (never heard of that one) have been added to my list of "gear to check out". As for a WM Flight Jacket, already own and love one. It's going with me! Hadn't planned on sleeping in it though. Thanks also for the gear review website. I did note the lack of Feathered Friends review. Bummer. Thanks again for your help.
Warner Springs Monty: I'll have to check out this bivy idea a bit more. New concept for me. An interesting one too. I have so much to check out! I'll be looking for you at the Kickoff too. It's fun to put faces and emails together.
Chuck: That's two votes for the WM HighLite. Tight fitting huh? I'll certainly keep that in mind. The others, the Marmot Helium, FF Hummingbird and WM Ultralite (also tight fitting I understand) are also on the list to research. The Moonstone 800 Lucid is a new one though. I do like my Moonstone Optimum so I don't doubt that I'd like the Lucid also. Again, all worth checking. Thanks for the input.
Thanks once again to all.
Aloha! Ann
