I usually do stop and pet dogs I see on the trail. I love dogs. I just don't
want to hike with them. If you do, fine. I'm not saying you shouldn't. But
I'm less eager to see dogs than the wildlife which they invariably scare
away.

There are dogs then there are dogs. I met True and her dog Timber on the
trail in Oregon this summer. Last year they did the AT and this year the PC.
That is remarkable. I think even bias Judson would stop and pet Timber, or
perhaps True
If any one wants to see pictures of True and Timber. Email me. They both
are remarkable.
PS: I would rather do the trail with Timber then Yogi. He Ha
