We saw "Red Beard" just South of Muir Pass on Aug 5th.  He spoke to us and said that he needed to "start kicking butt" especially through the JMT section.

  "Red Beard" was the last nobo that may have had a chance of making it north.  I'm at work and don't have my register with me, but he was through in either late June or early July (I'll re-post with the correct date).  

  We just hosted a nobo who came in Sunday "Jim" (he had started with the pack but got injured, has recovered, and is trying to get as far north as he can before winter closes in.
