[pct-l] water status north of Etna to I-5

Shadow Lake: I have heard from more than one source that it is a freaking
amazing campsite. Don't know anything about Cold Spring.

Kangaroo Spring- several sources in that immediate valley- not 100%
reliable- the spring at Cook and Green Pass is, however- I wouldn't
recommend Lilypad Lake due to the huge #'s of cows in the area

Bearground and Sheep Camp are 100% reliable

Hope that helps.

Subject: [pct-l] water status north of Etna to I-5

Can anyone who's been on the northernmost PCT sections in California
recently relay the current status of the following water sources:

North of Etna:

-- Shelly Lake's outlet creek (which has been described alternately as the
first "assuredly permanent" source in the 10.7 miles north of Etna, or
"your first **usually** reliable trailside creek''.) If it's dubious, I'll
just count on using Fisher Lake and Marten Lake as alternates.

-- Cold Spring? -- (and besides the water, how's the camping there vs. the
reportedly single spot on the rough spur to Shadow Lake?)

North of Seiad, is Kangaroo Springs a 100-percent reliable water source?
Bearground Spring? Sheep Camp Spring?

Many thanks for your help.
