[pct-l] Re: Length of PCT in Canada and Trans Canada Trail

The Trans Canada Trail was initiated as a project in 1992 in connection with
the 125th anniversary of the confederation of Canada in 1867. A web search
on "Trans Canada Trail" gives some sites generally by province that give
further details. There is also a proposal to link the East West TCT with a
South North trail that would go to the Arctic Ocean from Alberta. These
trails are designated as Multi Use.
There is also the National Trail Association which has designated some
sections of a hiker only trail from the East to West Coasts of Canada.
This is for information only and any continuation of this thread is likely
to be deemed not relevant to the PCT!

I suppose the answer to this question is 7.3 miles - the distance from
Monument 78 to the end of the trail in Manning Park.
