That depends on how you define the PCT. There are numerous alternate routes,
old vs. new vs. newer PCT, etc. However according to Shaeffer's "Pacific
Crest Trail" guidebooks, and disreagarding the latest re-route around
Glacier Peak:

California = 1724.4 miles (6th edition 2003  pg 63)
OR & WA = 1006.2 (5th edition 1990)
Total length Campo to hwy 3 @ Manning Park = 2,730.6 miles
