Another reason to stop by Etna if you are in the area July 17th -
18th... 

"The first-ever Etna Bluegrass Festival will be from 10 a.m to 10 p.m.
on July 17 and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on July 18.  Breakfast will be
served to start the day, then the Bluegrass bands will be playing. 
There are seven bands.  Arts and crafts booths open at 10 a.m.  Other
food booths, and a beer garden will also be open, as well as other
attractions."

Please note BREAKFAST, FOOD BOOTHS, and especially the BEER GARDEN!

I don't know how this will affect Etna's accommodations, though...  but
'camping' is allowed in the town park!

Unfortunately, I won't be visiting the area until late August, early
September this year - so I will miss both the Festival and seeing the
pack go through NorCal...  I hope to catch some of the 2005 hikers next
year, however!
