[pct-l] water update in Southern Sierra

I did a two-day backpack with two friends over the weekend, from
Chimney Peak campground to Kennedy Meadows campground. Fox Mill Spring
was completely dry but there is still a foot-wide creeklet flowing
through the sandy bank/flat area as one descends into Rockhouse Basin.
Plenty for pumping water and foot soaking. The ranger/camp host at
Chimney Peak is selling sodas to thru-hikers for a dollar a pop and
seems to be doing a thriving business. Saw about 20 thru-hikers in the
two days, all of them eager to get to the Kennedy Meadows store. The
weather was ideal, with cool breezes keeping the temps down.
