not to put names here but, what did you find misleading?

I'll be flying into Seattle. I'd be taking the bus to Vancouver if I
eventually start from Manning. In this scenario, I don't expect problems
when re-entering the US via the PCT but upon leaving from Seattle in my
flight home when I'm done hiking. I understand you didn't have any. But
then I wonder: You got your Arrival-departure record when transiting
through Honolulu but then you officially left for Canada in your
following flight. Didn't you got registered as out of the US then? and
if so, didn't they notice that when you left the US *again*?

That says a lot. I've never been to Australia but I've visited NZ and I
found it amazing for backpacking
