[pct-l] tough choices

FWIW, the legs have zippered slits at the ankles, so you don't need to
remove your shoes to put the legs on or off.

And some PCT trivia: I invented convertible pants for my 1977 PCT trip. I
had two sets made: one with zippers and one with legs attached by velcro.
Unfortunately, there was no ADZPCTKO and no gear contest where I could show
'em off. And I wasn't smart enough to pitch the idea to clothing
manufacturers.

And the best part? They were made from Levis 501 blue jeans! That's right,
the hiking pants of the well-equipped (but chilly) 1970s thru hiker.
