I have a $3 LED "Photon" knock-off.  It can be worn around the neck, clipped to a hat, or held in your mouth.  Three years ago a couple of us hiked down from Mt Whitney with one.  A mother had come up with her two kids and had forgotten to bring flashlights so we gave her ours.  The light worked like a charm - come to think of it, it can be worn like a charm as well.
