[pct-l] New Balance 1100, Is it just me?

I have had a negative experience with dual density midsoles as well. I
tried a pair of Montrail Leona Divides and found that I got a deep
blister on the outside of one heel after several miles. I'm guessing
that lower density outer EVA compressed more and my heel slid downhill,
so to speak, and caused more pressure and hence the blister. Off to
goodwill with those.

Pretty much all trail runners have some form of under-foot protection.
If you have the latest Trail Runner mag you'll see lots of them. Their
comparison table does indicate which ones have dual-density midsoles.
Despite all the newer choices I stick to the Montrail Vitesse, which has
all of the features you are looking for.

Kent.
