[pct-l] section E water

Just finished the section from Agua Dulce to Hwy 138 on 04/10/04. The trail is easy to follow, didn't get lost at all. The first water is in the trough at Bear Spring. The spring is seeping, less than trickling, but the trough is full of water and an aquaculture bonanza. The Anderson cache at Bouquet Canyon Rd. was empty. They know this and have probably refilled by now. Small site for a tent on the North side of the road. Next water is at "The Oasis" six miles along. Another, and amazing, Anderson cache. Six miles further at the Ranger Station on San Francisquito Canyon Rd. there was a 5 gallon container in the rest area to the left of the bldg. The station was unattended, no phone available. The Anderson caches at miles 485, 487, and 495 are full as are the water tanks mentioned in the books. There was no water anywhere except for these sources. There was a small cache just after Pine Canyon Rd. Then the last water is at Hikers Town. Be careful sending your resupply here as their Postal Delivery person is injured and mail delivery is delayed/non-existent.
