Wow, I hope not. But, I don't know - yet. Guess I may know when we get the next electric bill. But, I sure wouldn't be surprised - it has been on 24-7 for the last 2 weeks. The unit is quite hot and the fan keeps blowing hot air - it is noisy.
But, guess it is a trade off. If you needed to purchase dehydrated meals, you would spend a lot - and not get what you want nor know the nutrition/calories. Each to their own.

I'd heard that dehydrators cause your electric bills skyrocket. Is that true?
