[pct-l] sprained ankle



I agree with the Capt. and get orthodics, or at least better inserts. I
have a pair, $25 over-the-counter from a running store, that I use with
both my running shoes (which I use for running, not backpacking) and my
hiking boots. My original problem of not enough arch support was
immediately corrected. Plus, the they stablize my feet within the boot,
keeping them from sliding as I hike, which has virtually eliminated
blisters. Although an over-the-counter product solved my problem, it
sounds like you should see a podiatrist in order to get the right
correction. An expensive solution now, but worth it in the long
run...er..hike.  Ron
