[pct-l] Sierra Snow Situation

The southern Sierra, specifically the Kern River drainage area that includes
snow survey sites at Crabtree Meadows and Tyndall Creek (11,300') is showing
steep meltoff curves and only a few of the survey sites in this group showed
ANY accumulation from this last storm that blew through southern California
yesterday.
Another wet April isn't likely but just when somebody says something like
that ol' Mother Nature just loves to whip up some great late Spring storms to
show you who is in charge.
Plan for an early Sierra entry, stay flexible and be ready for those late
storms. What's early? June 1? May 24th if you have good gear and don't mind a
bit of snow and ice travel?
Here are the charts that I refer to regularly;
