No, if you are worried about being seen as a redneck, you probably
aren't one! Too bad you are not hiking this year - any law-enforcement
types out there hiking armed from Campo on April 18th?

However, the one time I did encounter somebody on the trail with a gun
it gave me the creeps. In general I try not to pre-judge people, but in
this case I thought it would be prudent to avoid a conversation and move
on - quickly.
