[pct-l] Letter of the Law



I don't know if it is always the case, but Yosemite and Kings Canyon /
Sequoia National Parks have wilderness areas overlapping the non-populated
areas of the national parks. That would allow mechanized items (cars, chain
saws, etc) in the national park, but not in the wilderness portions of the
park.

Designated wilderness outside National Park units is Congressionaly
designated. This may be why power tools are allowed in National Park
wilderness areas and not in non national park  wilderness areas.
