The vegetarian food is not a problem. On your custums declaration that you
get on the airplane you check that you have food with you. You might be
asked to go to a counter and they will look at the stuff. Cheese is not a
problem either. But meat is. I believe their are ways to get it into the
country (hey, I can buy European stuff at Trader Joes!) but it is not so
easy.
