This is a great read and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in 
learning more about the trail, the history of the areas around it and a greater 
appreciation for the flora and fauna found along it.  Great background reading for 
an aspiring thru-hiker or section hiker.  IF you can find a copy.  Ebay has 
one currently listed.  Good luck.
