[pct-l] Swowpack water content

According to the State of CA and Fed. Gov't websites, so far the water
content of this years snowpack is well above normal while the total
precip in inches seems to be normal or slightly below in most areas of
Cali.  Does a high water content in the snowpack mean anything to a
thru-hiker?  Just curious.  I'm sure that the water content of the
snowpack is a good thing for the water supply of so. cal.  Thanks
