[pct-l] salt and gookinaid

I grabbed a couple bags of salted sunflower seeds when I went on my Arizona
Trail hike a few years back. Worked pretty good for me, as they're not hard
and not sticky, meaing no pulled crowns or cracked teeth.

When I crossed the Grand canyon, I ran out of my Gatorade near the bottom
and saw that they had packets of this stuff called Gookinaid. I picked up
the Orange flavored one as I headed up the South Rim. Once I started
hitting that bottle, I practically flew up the switchbacks! I wasn't
interested in setting any personal bests, but I kept it steady, rested when
I got tired, and drank Gookinaid all the way up and ended up beating my
previous best time by a couple hours. Even better, I wasn't sore the next
day from it. I'm definetely looking into taking some with me on the PCT in
2005.
