We just received (5) of the Bear Vaults for testing on
BackpackGearTest.org. They have received conditional approval, the
required last step for full approval. All bear canisters must go though
this conditional approval stage prior to their receiving full approval.

I've noticed that the Garcia Bear Canister weighs quite a bit more than
the Bear Vault.  Does anyone know if the Bear Vault is National Park
approved?  OR is the Garcia the only one approved?? Also, has anyone
been happy or unhappy with it?  Thanks a bunch!
