[pct-l] Time Wise Grocery / Snoqualmie

Another option is to take the bus east to Cle Elum. It has a couple of good
sized grocery stores, restaurants, motels, etc. Also, if it is rainy at
Snoqualmie Pass, it will be rainy at North Bend, and possibly sunny at Cle
Elum. Cle Elum is in the rain shadow of the cascades. Same can be said
about Naches versus Packwood and Levenworth versus Skykomish. The east side
towns are usually a little farther from the trail.

I checked and there are two different greyhound bus schedules that go round
trip between Snoqualmie Pass and North Bend, 30 miles to the west where
there
are good groceries, p.o., motels, etc. Much better layover than Snoqualmie
pass. Cost: $14 round trip. You could go to North Bend, resupply, do laundry
and
be back on the PCT the very same day
   Just one option. David C
