[pct-l] new section K?

I read and heard it mentio
ned that WA's section K past Glacier Peak was the
hardest thing on the PCT N of the Sierra, though I never had the pleasure to
experience it. If/when the trail is rerouted to the side of the mtn., what
will that due to the difficulty and length of this section?

a lot of people have suggested that the p.c.t. be rerouted to the east of glaicer peak,i can't see any advantage  to  that. on the west side the problems are the bridges across milk creek and the suiattle river which wash out every few years,on the east side you have the napeequa and chiwawa rivers whose bridges washed out years ago and have never been replaced,for the same reason as the west side bridges.it seems like six of one or a half dozen of the other.
