Here's another way to buy shoes.  Take the phone number of your favorite company, order the shoes a week before you need them, have them sent General Delivery by Priority Mail to your next food drop location.  That way you won't have to guess about the expanding foot problem, and if you tell them that you are hiking the whole PCT they may give you a discount or free for the advertising.  Good Luck.
