[pct-l] sleeping bag liner and bags

Couple of other things to consider: 1) To keep the loft and warmth, wash
your bag during the trip (probably once will do, like in Oregon); 2) if you
use a closed cell pad, replace it before getting to Washington - they do
compress.

For doing the PCT during the normal season, a 20 degree bag is sufficient
for most people and most years. After Sept 15th, days/nights can turn cold
in Washington. Even in August, there can be some cold, rainy spells in
Oregon too. Still, the same bag will work - but, you might just get a bid
cold. I am all for a 800+ down bag and careful packing to keep it dry.
