[pct-l] Waterproof Stuff Sacks?

We use trash compactor bags to stuff our down bags in. The trash compactor
bags are thicker and less likely to tear. We did use synthetic bags on the
PCT, but switched to down afterwards. We have hiked about 8000 miles with
this technique with no problems. It has even protected my bag during a
couple of unplanned immersions in streams and countless days of steady rain
on the AT this year.
