[pct-l] off-topic: brown recluse spiders

This is off-topic, but I figured someone out there in PCT-L land will have 
some advice:

I just captured a huge spider.  It was in my bathtub.  Spraying it with raid 
did nothing.  So I caught it in a clear plastic container.  Now it's very 
dead.  Maybe it suffocated in the jar, maybe the raid finally hit it.  All I 
care about is that it's dead.  I looked up brown recluse on the internet, 
and the internet picture looks like this monster.  I called the apartment 
office and the cluleless woman who is stuck working Saturday afternoons said 
she'll have the maintenance dudes look at the beast on Monday, and that the 
exterminators will be out on November 4th.  She'll have them come to my 
apartment to spray.

Here's my questions:  November 4th is a while away.  Is there anything I 
should do?  Are these things loners?  Or should I be on the lookout for 
more?
