[pct-l] PCT Closure

Sounds like a lot of hitch hikers will headed north to Detroit and then on to the PCT trailhead at Olallie Lake Resort. That could be a nasty hitch if the Santiam highway stays closed over the pass. According to The Oregonian newspaper (Portland) the highway was closed earlier this week from Black Butte Ranch on the east through Santiam Junction on the west. That means no traffic over the pass except firefighters and their support vehicles.

  Due to the Booth Fire the PCT is closed at Santiam Pass, Highway 20 both directions.
