Last year I put 700+ miles on a pair of New Balance
804's. My feet did not approve. (25-30 mile days)
ymmv.

This year I cut the mileage to 450 miles on a pair
of 806's with much better results. (30-32 mile days) 
ymmv.

Personally, from my experience, I would never attempt 
a thru-hike on 2 pairs of trail runners. I would use
at least 4 pairs. 5 would suit me better. ymmv.

I use Spenco insoles.
