Rancho Corona del Valle is a private ranch on Pine Canyon Road inbetween Lake Hughes and Hwy 138. One of the hikers is family friends with the owners of the ranch and the hiker arranged to invite a bunch of hikers there for a wonderful stay.  The ranch has been run as a church retreat and does not host hikers by custom -- but who knows???  

Quite coincidentally, Jeff has done electrical work for years for this same family friend of the hiker both at their home and at Rancho Corona del Valle.  Because of that relationship, I've been allowed to camp at the ranch before -- it's beautiful.
