[pct-l] Drift or Bounce Boxes

Marge
85+ % of the numerous items I listed are duplicate items in the event of a
need to replace any of them. The ones I would not be likely to have in my
pack (unless something like snow or animal conditions require) might be nail
clippers, a battery charger, city clothes, crampons, ice ax, stamped
envelopes, packing tape, address labels, phone card, and reading material.

I forgot to include a bear box in my original list. Waiting for delivery of
a Weekender this week. As much as I really don't want the weight and size,
I don't want to contribute to a harmful impact on bears' behavior. I see
using a bear canister as part of human Leave No Trace behavior.

I may find the bounce box items excessive after a few 100 miles next year,
but I'd rather send them TO home than have to ask them to be sent FROM home.
Comfort level and all that. Kind of like paying a high insurance premium.

Best regards,
JD
