Have any thru-hikers ever used a vapor barrier in thier sleeping bag?
I am curious about the affect on higene (ie does it make you smell signifigantly worse).
How does the liner itself hold up to extended use? Mostly I want to know how bad the thing smells after a few months and wether washing it will remove the odor.
And a related question... What materials would people recomend to make the liner? Obviously it will feel a bit clammy, but there must be some fabrics that feel better against the skin then others. I have been considering using a silk liner inside the VB liner for comfort even though the silk will be wet.
Thanks for your input :-)
