[pct-l] Mt. Whitney Expedition



We really should not abuse the PCT permits.  This is how a few "screw it up
for everyone."  It's reasonable that someone who has walked 800 miles to get
there might be entitled to some slack on the Whitney permit.  It's not right
to get a PCT permit just to get some slack on Whitney when one does not
intend to walk the whole thing.

If I'm not mistaken, you can still do the Mountaineer's route or the route
up the west side from Arctic Lake without going through the lottery.
