Hey
Just want to thank all of those who answered my Post on my trip to Palisades
Glacier.
Let me tell you a story about our Sierra Club Trip Leader. A women in her
fifties. At the trail head parking lot she got up on a stump an outlined the
rules. She was well endowed which countered balance her back pack. Perhaps this is
why women can carry everything including the kitchen sink
First she said you carry a Bear Canister (only 2 days of food for a 3 lbs
canister)
I asked her if my bear bag would suffice. She reluctantly agreed that I could
take it. But the responsibility was on me. She then explained the counter
balance method of hanging food. Watching her balance herself on the stump with
her backpack on and and well endowed was clearly a visual aid.
That night I went to hang my food on a branch about forty feet up. The bag
got stuck on a twig and I had to yank on it. Well, it came flying back at me
like a rocket and hit right square between my eyes. Well, Ha Ha our leader said I
told you so. When a women tells you something you better listen
Second she said you must dig a cat hole six inches deep and carry out your
toilet paper.
Hell! I said to my self that will be the day. Well, women revenge again. I
got constipated.
