I would guess this would work pretty well.  For a number of years I have
used traveling shower slippers which weight 3oz http://tinyurl.com/fays
They give moderate protection to the bottoms of your feet and give good
traction on slippery creek bottoms.  Based on past experience I would not
recommend using them as camp shoe since they aren't extremely durable.  They
have stayed on my feet in reasonably fast running creeks... though when the
water was really rough I also used a bit of duct tape to be sure the back
stayed in place.
