[pct-l] Yosemite Exit Question

It's me again, the "trans-sierra" hiker.  Thank you very much
to all who gave me some great information and advice, especially
dude and Marshal Karon.

My question this time focuses on the end of our trip.  We're planning
to exit at Happy Isles in Yosemite Valley.  We will leave our cars
in Mammoth and (hopefully) while we're trekking, some kind family
members will move the cars to Yosemite.  I've read the descriptions
of the backpackers parking area between Curry village and Happy
Isles, but that was for hikers starting in Yosemite.  Will our drivers
have any problems parking in that area?  Do we need to make a copy
of our hiking permits?  Does Yosemite issue parking permits for those
parking in the backpackers parking area?  (How do they know the
parking is being used by legitimate backpackers?)

Any info or suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated.
