[pct-l] Wrightwood Calif. maybe covered soon.

Well, to get a sense of the San Gabriel's tendency to be a bit, er, shifty,
and send mudslides down on unsuspecting (i.e. uninformed) humans, read the
Lost Angeles chapter in John McPhee's The Control of Nature. Highly
entertaining and informing.

Then you will see how low it was." Dag Hammarskjold

| Just saw a T.V. show about Wrightwood and a large mud slide in 1941. Looks
| like the area is very unstable these days and town maybe in for another
large
| slide soon. Surrounding Mt.s show sides of movement from Fault and need
only a
| slight trigger to touch off another huge deadly slide. ( Don't move to
| Wrightwood!!)
